date_range August 13th at 2:00pm EDT
On May 20th, 2020, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) released its Final Rule modernizing and strengthening the Community Reinvestment Act. As you may remember, a Joint Notice of Public Rulemaking was issued by the FDIC and the OCC back on December 12, 2019 containing their proposals for reforming and updating the Community Reinvestment Act. Although this Final Rule applies to national banks only, it is important for all institutions subject to the CRA to understand the Rule. Join us as we take a look at the new requirements, new definitions, new reporting responsibilities, deferred thresholds, and any exemptions.

Are you wondering if you have any Fair Lending concerns with decisions made, how requests were handled, actions taken? While we are still in the midst of the pandemic, let’s take some time to speak to discrimination and how the bank’s actions to accommodate affected borrowers, while made with good intentions, could result in a fair lending violation. After this session, you will be armed to review and, if necessary, revise your fair lending program to accommodate reactions to any pandemic.
